Kadafi is dead! Discuss the political, national, and internal effects his death will have on the world. You can use quotes from the media, be sure to give credit.
I cannot argue that this man's death was not justice, but on the whole I feel this all could have been handled in a much more civilized manner. Especially considering the rebels now intend to run the country using Sharia Law. Funny how we didn't hear anything about that until after we'd helped them gain power. But then, I find it hard to imagine how these radicals could rule worse than a man who probably had Kim Jong il on speed-dial.
Whenever someone dies, even an enemy, it is not something to celebrate too much about. Yes, another one of our country's enemies leaders are dead. Many lives will be saved now because of it, but we should dwell on that fact, and not rejoice over the costs of this war.
Although the death of this sadistic dictator is a reason to rejoice, there are some issues libayians are already having to deal with. The regime is already displaying some of the old regimes practices. Black Africans are being targeted as mercenaries and anyone who was loyal to Kadafi (often out of self-preservation) are also being targeted. So, the new regime has many of the characteristics as the old regime with regards to offences against human rights. For America something good is coming from Kadafi's death. We spent about two billion dollars in day-to-day military precedures, weapons and aid to the poor and hungry. Libya's assests are now un-frozen so, according to Florida senator, Marco Rubio, Lybia wants to reimburse us for what we did to help them.
I agree with Joshua that the manner in which Kadafi was killed was uncivilized and I believe that it shouldnt have been shown on a national television.
